diamondlife: (I never understood - mellowdee)
Today was another travelling day! Set off from Yokohama about 11 - got on a slow train, a fast train, and another slow train, and eventually got to Nagano-ken about 5! I:m staying in a K:s House hostel, because it was cheap and looked good, but the problem is it:s literally in the middle of nowhere - Sasayama was a bustling metropolis compared to here! Though the drug store sells grape pocky, which I just had to buy. :9 It:s an hour from Nagano city by bus, so that:s where I:m going tomorrow to look at Zenkoji, the famous temple with the "key to paradise". Then the day after I:m going back to Matsumoto for a couple of days to look at the castle etc, then back to Tokyo for a rest! And hopefully catch up with a few of the people I:ve met. If I can find their email addresses. ^^'

The hostel is lovely, very modern (a guy I met on the train said it was only built last year), the staff are very friendly, and the mountains are incredibly beautiful. I wish I:d brought my hiking boots after all! It:s nice and cool, too, but not *too* cool.

On the train, a nice lady talked to me a lot in Japanese. I understood most of what she was saying (she was saying nice, easy things for me, lol) but man, I *sucked* at speaking. :/ Even when I could think of what to say, the words all came out wrong, I was quite horrified. I wonder if I *did* understand what she was saying, or if I just thought I did? ^^' It:s alarming that my speaking has got *worse* being here. o.o Though my understanding has improved a little, I think. But only when it doesn:t matter. XD

Also of note, high school boys on the train. [livejournal.com profile] davechan, you:d have appreciated it! And you, [livejournal.com profile] ninjaiguana! (How are you, anyway? :3) There were 5 of them, squeezed together on one side of the train, and several of them looked extremely friendly with each other - they kept lying across each other:s laps, and one of them (the best and coolest looking one) kept leaning on his friend:s shoulder and sort of kissing it, and when he got off the train, his friend didn:t, and he got back on and was totally holding his hand to get him to come with them. I had to pretend I was looking out of the window over their heads so I could keep an eye on the proceedings. Ahh, Japan, it:s the little things that make it so worthwhile~!

Because the place isn:t very busy, I have the dorm to myself! Which meant I got to watch all of Hissatsu Shigotonin! I really enjoyed it, actually - I was expecting it to be rather hammy and/or cheesy and corny too (mmm, hammy cheesy corn), like that show with the guy with the eyepatch (is that the one with Gackt too?), but it was actually really enjoyable, though I had no idea what was going on half the time. Some very creative assassinations, though! And Mabo totally stole it, he was awesome. Everyone did a good job, and it never really strayed into the melodrama I feared it would.

KansaiBoys have also finished subbing Dive to the Future, hooray! :D That was totally my favourite of the special dramas, lol. Gratuitous nudity~! Gah, I started dl:ing a load of stuff then the wireless cut out. :/ Now I:m on the hostel:s computer, waiting for my laundry to dry - I think it:s a lost cause, I:ve had it in the drier about 2 hours and it still seems just as wet as when it went in. >.< I guess I:m sleeping naked tonight! ^^'

Want to write Subaru/Yasu WAFFy melty stuff. Might try. :3
