diamondlife: (Ahahahaha (I hate you) - ssjbento)
Had a great weekend with [livejournal.com profile] yuki_scorpio, [livejournal.com profile] giving_ground (and [livejournal.com profile] lina_lau yesterday) - ate loads of delicious food, went to loads of cool shops, bought loads of those ridiculously shiny overpriced magazines - and a great time was had, barring one problem.

My laptop won't switch on.

So I'm out till further notice. (Well, I'll probably be able to get online at work, but yeah. Happy bunnies. Happy bunnies.)

I wonder where I put the receipt? It isn't where I thought it was. Not that that matters, cos they'll be able to trace it if I take it back to the shop, but yeah. *crawls off*

To-do list for the weekend:

- persuade [livejournal.com profile] yuki_scorpio to watch My Boss My Hero O:)
- cajole [livejournal.com profile] giving_ground (and [livejournal.com profile] yuki_scorpio too >D) into sitting through some Kanjani8 stuff
- get self caught up on Saiunkoku
- raid Japan Centre for ridiculously overpriced magazines as usual

My dinner today failed. :/ First, I completely didn't realise the chilled canneloni things I bought in Waitrose required two kinds of sauce to go on them. -_- I didn't have anything else to cook, so ordered kung po duck. When it came, it was just battered duck in thick sauce with water chestnuts, which I hate. >E Plus, it was so sweet it made me feel quite sickly. Grr. My favourite Chinese takeaway closed down - I'm cursed with restaurants! I've so far managed to shut down at least 5! And even La Mancha has all changed now! ;_; Any time I say I really like somewhere, it inevitably disappears. It's terribly inconvenient.

I also did a few more Honjani summaries:

Cut for luck )

You know, if I wasn't rambling on about K8 all the time I'd be talking about much more tiresome brain stuff. So be grateful, OK? :D

I'm alii~iive! Had an awesome time in London - I've been so often recently, that last night when I got back I felt quite sad to be back in Sheffield. Which makes me feel like a traitor, cos I love Sheffield!

But London was especially awesome this time, because I got to meet [livejournal.com profile] shelliroth and [livejournal.com profile] yami_tai, who were both great and lovely! We did some nice English things, like pottering in old-fashioned toy shops, having tea (well, I had some tea :9), sweltering on the Tube, visiting the Japan Centre (...er) and forcing Shelley to eat Twiglets and Cadbury's Turkish Delight. We talked about kids' TV and accents and cavemen and all kinds of marvellous (and fannish) things! Had a wonderful time, and looking forward to seeing Emily again at Squeefest! :D

[livejournal.com profile] giving_ground very kindly put me up for the night, and we just about managed to watch one disc of Side Fudoumine before falling asleep. Saturday was a gorgeous day, so we spent a while in a nice quiet little park in Russell Square, but we also managed to fit in seeing the gay cup in the British Museum (as well, of course, as the mummies - the mummified kitten was so cute and sad! ;_;). Had a delicious late lunch (best salmon teriyaki I've ever had :9) and spotted random gatherings of Pride Parade people! (I want a rainbow umbrella!) We found an amazing tea shop where I bought, amongst other things, some Sailor's Tea (it has rum in it! XD). We also had ice cream from the Ben & Jerry's shop, and huddled round a cafe window to watch England lose to Portugal on penalties. -_-

I'm so glad I have a day off before I have to go back to work - I'm gonna need it to recover from the fangirling! ^^' I also have the Princess Princess drama to watch, and hopefully Takumi's DVD too. Not to mention the International Market is still in town~!

...But for now, I need a cuppa. :9
