I started doing that 2005-retrospective meme, but it was just too depressing. So instead, have 2005 summarised into some important words (in roughly chronological order):

vanillafire (Although I technically met you in 2004, I didn't really get to know you till this year. I don't think I actually have words to describe how much I've enjoyed spending time with you! I ♥ you, cos, well, you're so great! *sparklies*)

...That was a short twelve months.

I had some fantastic times in 2005, and am thankful to have met some wonderful people: I can't believe that, a year ago, I didn't know robojellyfish, and the downto2 crew! Or sublimeparadigm! For that matter, a year ago, I was still merely beginning to think about becoming curious about Prince of Tennis! I give thanks for it, cos I've met a lot of wonderful people this year through the amazing medium of ghei tennis crack (haven't we all?). ♥ Looking back on the period from January to August gives me so many warm, fuzzy feelings, though it seems so far away now.

Since then, well, yes. I've been through a time like no other in my life - this will sound strange, and not mean anything to anyone who's not read Soul Music by Terry Pratchett, but I feel "just like Buddy Holly": I ran out of time, but I'm still here. I'm ashamed and angry at the way I've let things get this way, but all I can do is ask for your understanding while I try and get myself together.

...Right now, I can't see what's standing in my way. So let's hope 2006 is a better year for everyone, even those who had a great 2005. ^_~
