Today I was so tired I slept till like 12, and I could've gone for more too. e_e But I dragged myself up and went to Meiji Jingu to see a Japanese New Year! Of course, it was absolutely rammed with people - but I only waited less than two hours, that's nothing on yesterday! XD To be honest it didn't feel very special or anything, as there were so many people there, but they had some interesting footage of some sort of ritual or something on the big video screen. Then I ate my first taiyaki, came back to Kichijouji and ate, came back to the hotel and watched TOKIO on Daishoten. :D Even though I can't understand most of it, it's somehow still funny! You can get the gist, haha.

Also: Nagase dating Aibu Saki? That is, the girl from Utahime. How cute would that be?! Johnny's denied it a while back, but I think it would be adorable if it was true. :D

The 37kh Japanese girl just beat the 6 foot American guy in the curry eating contest. I don't fully understand why the teeny weeny Japanese girls are the ones that can eat so much. Now there's going to be a chip-eating contest. This is New Year TV at its best, clearly!

There's some super-cute adverts on too - an energy-saving message from a very cute kitty, and an ad for something like WD-40 with a rat on a bolt. Nowhere does cute like Japan!

Man, I recognise so many people on this TV show from Janiben. XD And I'm looking forward to the MuchaBuri special tonight! :D Hope I can stay awake for it all... ^^'

I hate when someone whose fic you really like turns out to be a bit of a wanker, really. >:E Ruins the whole experience! It's like when you find out someone who writes really good fic breaks up an OTP of yours - always makes me a little sad...

Admitted defeat on yaoi_challenge for the time being and begged for some extra time. I simultaneously abandoned this stupid sex scene that's been dragging me down for too long - again, for the time being. I'll be back, boys~! When I've, you know, written the rest of the story.

I did half of each of the two things I meant to do this evening - does that count like completing a whole one? ^^'

My head hurts, and I've wasted a good two hours this evening just out of sheer workshyness. ^^;; I did watch up to ep 4 of Mukodono 2003, though - shame there doesn't seem to be any more available subbed, cos I was kind of getting into it. For the record, it has Nagase as another idiot, but this time he's also an incredibly popular and hot idol, who's a huge bouncy dork in real life. Then he meets a sweet girl and marries her (all by the end of ep 1!), and the following eps involve him trying to get her family to accept him. It's quite sweet, really, and Nagase is indeed very hot as Sakuraba Yuichirou, but the whole set-up was a bit rushed (ep 2 began with them waking up and him going "Oh! We're married now!"). It seems to be some kind of redux of the original Mukodono, which also starred Nagase as Sakuraba Yuichirou, the stupid idol who married into a girl's family etc etc. I've only seen the first ep of that, and I have to say I do prefer the 2003 one, on available evidence (put it this way: piles are never a good plot device *shudder*). Will probably end up dl'ing more of it, though, for obvious reasons. *cough*

I should've had a shower in the time I was bored in this evening! Any extra time in bed in the mornings these days is invaluable.
