[Edit] Ah, curse, knew there was a *reason* I updated! Lol. It was Kwyck reminded me, byt saying about Saiyuki. Now as you might know, I've seen a few eps but it's not something I was very taken by, so I've not bothered with any more. But recently something happened that made it very difficult for me to think about the series in the same way.

You know it's based on the story of the Journey to the West, right? Well, so is Monkey. The main character, Monkey, is Goku ("Goku-chan" to Pigsy *grin* *hides shameful past of Monkey slash searches*); the afore-mentioned Pigsy is Hakkai - that one really gets me, as Pigsy is only interested in food and women, and is generally a bit of a moron; Sandy is Goyjo, and Tripitaka is Sanzo.

Now, to fully appreciate this, you have to see Monkey. But suffice it to say, most of the characters are sufficiently out of synch for my brain to have a fuzzy moment whenever I compare the two. But just go to the site and have a look. *grin* And if at all possible, find some Monkey to watch. It's the best thing ever. *grin*
