diamondlifeSearch for new laptop is baffling and off-putting. @_@ I thought they'd all be super-light these days! But they're only about 500g, maximum, lighter than my current machine, which I'd come to see as a bit of a beast. What I want is:
- decent HDD (160+)
- decent battery life
- light
- under £500
- XP-downgradeable
- good heat control
- not an HP
Not bothered too much by screen size, but as I do watch a lot of subtitled stuff I guess small isn't really that good an idea. Currently looking at Asus X50RL-AP354C and Dell Inspiron 1525 (which, I have to admit, has a catchier name, haha). I'm leaning towards the Asus, but anyone got any thoughts? Any advice on what to avoid/look for very much welcome! :3
