OK, you all disappointed me about the tortoise picture! You see, I saw someone use the phrase "slow as a turtle", and I was like ...that's not what we'd say in Britain, but what would we say? Slow as a tortoise. So I looked at at Wikipedia, and it told me that in American English the words are often used interchangeably. :O So I thought I'd see if that was true, but you're all obviously too correct! XD (Though I LOLed at some of the more creative answers. Especially Laura's. XD)

For reference, in Britain a tortoise is *always* something that moves on land, and a turtle is *always* something that lives in water. We don't really ever encounter turtles, though, lol. (And a terrapin is a small turtle that lives in an ornamental pond. XD)

...Man, I think about some boring things, don't I? XD Well, that's another area I've always wanted to study! Differences between international Englishes! ..Yes. *slinks away*
