diamondlifeHoly crap, there's *so* much incredible fandom stuff going on atm - I thought last year had been a breakthrough for K8, but this year they actually have style as well as hard work, energy and charisma! Man, I cannot stop staring at Maru in Native American gear, and Yasu covered in paint is actually quite alluring. ashkt - just linking to hers cos they're LJ hosted, I might as well.) 818 also sounds totally amazing! I thought it would probably just be some sketches and songs, but it sounds like Yasu put a ton of work in and really made it fit together into a proper story with a message. He's very brave and very talented. ♥
And I know of course all of K8 fandom have seen the Wahaha PV now, but I feel I have a certain duty topimp to people on my friends list who aren't active in K8 fandom, but are in other Asian entertainment fandoms and may be interested! Seriously seriously, watch it, it's so completely adorable! Yoko looks GORGEOUS (even on fire! XD They should've sprayed him with water to put him out... ;) and I'm pleased that Ohkura has gone back to being hot too, haha, but my favourite scene-stealer in it is Maru. The bits where he's trying to get the gag right going through the door are brilliant. XD And of course, Hina versus the tiny Maru and Yoko in the locker. XD XD XD I loved that the PV had such a happy feel, but it still had those touches of tsukkomi to give it a very K8-ish edge, lol - like Ohkura whacking Yasu with the plastic hammer as well. XD The humour and unreal parts weren't too overdone, for once - it all fit together so nicely!
...Haha, I hadn't meant to go on about it, but it's so awesome I had to in the end! XD
The accompanying official photos are an unexpected bonus too! :D And Yoko's solo shots are unbelieveable. *_* The one on the right... :9
Ahh, then there's going to be the tour and Yoko's show again and Ryo's drama and I'm certain they'll tour or at least do some shows in August. Er, I was going to make some worthy and expansive summing-up statement, but I forgot what it was. ^^' But you know, you get the idea. Which is, as ever, that K8 are great and I'm really pleased that Johnnys are keeping up the momentum for them at the moment. They've really proved their worth it, so I hope it keeps up for them! ♥
