It was wonderful today to see
laliho after so long! *cling* We mustn't wait, like, 2 years till next time! ^^' Went and saw The Descent, which was pleasingly scary, though to be honest, it was scarier when they were just trapped in the cave, before the monsters turned up - it was done very well, very claustrophobic and tense, but not over the top or dragging. Very entertaining! And nice and gory (in the good way, lol) too. ;)
Took camera to Dixon's, and they said it was pretty much dead, which is sad but they did say they usually just exchange them, so that's a relief. I don't have the receipt (well, I probably do, but I have no clue where to even start looking) but if I take it back to where I got it, with the card my mum used to buy it (^^') hopefully they can bring one up and sort it out. Hopefully. -_-
Also discovered mango is not what I thought it was. I didn't think I liked it, but I do. Yay. :9
Watched Birthday Girl as well this evening, which, again, I was pleasantly surprised by - it wasn't at all what I expected, and was much better for it. ^^' I especially liked that it was British - as was the Descent, incidentally (me, jingoistic? Nooooo) - and the League of Gentlemen cameos. XD They all got in there! I thought Ben Chaplin was excellent, and his character was really well done too. And Nicole Kidman sounded like she was doing a fairly decent job with the Russian, but of course, I couldn't confirm that. ^^' Her character was surprisingly sympathetic too, and I liked the ending. I love when things work out. ^_~
I would also like to announce, in the spirit of (one or two) others on my friends list, that not everyone cares about Harry Potter. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but I did skip most of my friends list today. I feel like some kinda heretic to say it, and I really don't want to feel that way. In any case, I just can't read the way some of you folks seem to be doing. @_@ I have a short attention span, man! I can't do *any* one thing for more than two hours without a break! And even that long is pushing it!
...And, ironically, that's where I run out of steam for this post. ^^;;
