Dulce et Decorum Est
Nov. 11th, 2008 12:14 am( 90 years )
I've taken to stopping at war memorials. They're everywhere in London, at all the oldest tube stations - in the British Library staff entrance foyer. It's not really 'remembering' any more, not 90 years on - maybe it doesn't really serve a purpose. I always have somehow managed to attach more personal significance to things than there's really any logical reason for. But no matter how far in the past it is, no matter how seemingly irrelevant or far away in time - no-one can ever tell me it's not worth a thought.
