Remember when you were little, and your mum told you not to leave food, because there were children starving in Africa? You'd think, in these times where the price of the weekly food shop has risen so much, mums would still be saying that. I'll let the BBC article say it better than I can.

(Admittedly I've never been a person who feels compelled to clean my plate, but I've always had other people to palm off my leftovers onto. I feel it's an excellent solution! It really annoys me when people put leftovers straight into the bin as soon as they've finished eating - you might want that later! And if you don't, I or someone else might!)

...Now I feel guilty about those grapes I bought and forgot about. :X Maybe they're still guinea pig standard... I do love having pets that are designed to eat the bits we don't want. :D
