I always feel a little bit smug on Easter Monday, when my international friends are back at work, and we get an extra day off. :3 (If it makes you feel better, the weather is pretty miserable!) I start my new job properly tomorrow! o.o At least it's a nice short week to start me off... ^^;;
This morning I went to watch a match in the first round of the snooker World Championships. It was between Paul Hunter (Leeds boy) and Neil Robertson (all the way from Melbourne) and lasted 4 hours. For a £10 ticket, I feel I got my money's worth! It ended 7-2 in favour of Robertson (first to 10 wins), but I feel the scoreline was unrepresentative; Paul played well, but he couldn't seem to keep a break going over 30. :/ He was looking good, though - he's only 27, but last year he was diagnosed with cancer and has been receiving treatment. He's kept playing, though; he's always been popular (he looks a bit like David Beckham, except cheekier and more northern), but this morning he got an enormous cheer when he came into the theatre. I really hope he can pull it back this evening when they finish the match, though I have to say that Neil Robertson looks like a nice, charistmatic character as well.
...And I'm sure no-one even knew what I was talking about there. XD
I also bought Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead for £5 each in FOPP! I wanted Night of the Living Dead too (not seen that one) but they only had a special edition, and it was £20. At some point we should have a marathon of the whole trilogy. (You're definitely invited,
disography, and
just_linzi! ;)
Err... I think I had something else to say, but I, um, forgot it. Maybe I'll attempt some writing. If you hear cogs grinding, that'll be what it is...
