Back from Squeefest, alive and filled with squee! Was fantastic to hang out with people, whether again or for the first time, and thank you all for a great time~! Proper post to follow, as I'm very tired now, but a summary of my weekend might go something like this:

- Kamen Rider Kazuki Kabuto
- Advent Children (including weird-ass dream featuring Reno, Rufus and Rude, with cameo apppearance from [livejournal.com profile] new_kate)
- Afternoon tea at Betty's! ([livejournal.com profile] yuki_scorpio's scone curse is lifted!)
- Prince of Tennis Cluedo! ("Inui killed Ryoma in Atobe's boudoir with dinosaurs")

Oh, and when I got home: Reload 7 bonus pages. *_*

...More to follow, when my brain's caught up! Have a safe journey home, everyone!

Bah, work tomorrow! ;_;

I had the biggest slice of cake in the world today. Honestly, it was enormous. I got it at lunchtime, and couldn't actually finish it! Had to bring some home for the Dave. It was, like, over 3 inches wide at the round bit, and a good two inches tall. And only 85p!! And homemade, so it didn't even feel that unhealthy. (Hey, as a cakemaker, I know these things!) Score.

My counsellor told me I should try doing some relaxing breathing exercises, so I bought myself a nice CD of relaxing music. It works, it's very relaxing, but it's called Sounds of Spa. Me and [livejournal.com profile] davechan are going to do our own version:

[livejournal.com profile] davechan: *old man* How much for this pork pie?
[livejournal.com profile] elyndys: *ditto* I'll have 20 Benson and some White Lightning. Spare any change?

*bdum tsch*

Apologies to non-Brits, who may not see the joke. Apologies to Brits, who *may* see it and not be remotely impressed. ^^'

Me and [livejournal.com profile] vanillafire have *the* best idea for Squeefest. :D It's top seekrit*! But I can't wait to show it to people! :D TWO DAYS TO GO!! ...OK, I'll stop being so scary now.

Finally, before I go to bed, a thingy stolen from Le Jackie:

1. Reply to this post if you want me to tell you how cool you are!

2. Watch my journal over the next few days weeks for a post just about you and why you rock my socks.

3. Post these instructions in your journal and give your friends a much needed dose of love and adoration!

Will attempt them tomorrow when at work, or otherwise, uh, later. Woah, that entry sounded much worse than I intended! XD

* I hate when people write "sekrit". That word is clearly pronounced "seck-rit", which is not at all how the word "secret" is actually pronounced. :p

It's still Father's Day, so I just wanted to say a few words about that. Sometimes I think people don't appreciate their dads enough. It always makes me feel warm and fuzzy when the kids come in to the nursery with their dads. I'm certain I'd be a better person, and I certainly wouldn't be in the mess I'm in now, if my dad were still here. ♥

[livejournal.com profile] cybernetic, I keep forgetting to tell you, but the DVds arrived a while back - thank you so much! ♥♥♥ Now I have lots of material to inflict upon [livejournal.com profile] vanillafire. Not to mention [livejournal.com profile] nichadaemus, when he comes up next. >:D

I have more ramble about Saiyuki, but I have no fannish energy right now. Today has been an utter pit, mood-wise, from the word go, and I have no idea why. :/

Finally, think I'm going to finally get round to friending people who are going to Squeefest who I don't already have on my list. Which is, like, three people, but it'd be nice to try and get to know everyone a little before the event. Which I am already getting very excited for. In any case, if you see I've added you and have come to scope me out, please feel free to add or not add me at your discretion! Because, let's face it, my journal is full of depressing crap atm. *cough*

Quote of the day: "In Soviet Russia, LiveJournal cut you!" (from a random LJ I happened across).

Random things I keep remembering from the weekend:

- watching the last 4 eps of Gluhen and ENJOYING it O.O
- Niou and his ice cream van XD XD XD (that still makes me laugh out loud when I think about it XD)
- everyone re: Papa to Kiss in the Dark: "It's so wrong... but can I copy it?" >:D

The first day of my new three-day job went well! I had a lovely lady with me all day, but tomorrow and Thursday I'll be covering for her, so I'll be ALL ALONE and confused. ;_; I can't get a decent cup of tea, which is frustrating, but the machine stuff is drinkable and only 10p, so it'll do. At least I only really have to answer the phone, so I can take a book. I've started Neil Gaiman's American Gods, and am greatly enjoying it so far! Though "so far" is only up to about page 40.

Did you know it's International Saiyuki week? I don't know when it started exactly, but I've changed my default icon to a delicious picture of Sanzo in celebration, and here's some links to manga I uploaded a while back:

Gaiden chapters 9-18 [missing chapter 15b... I think... ^^']
Gaiden 19
Gaiden 20

You all know how capable I am of rambling about Saiyuki, but I'll actually do a proper post (maybe tomorrow) with scans and explanation and discussion of some of my favourite moments. ^_^

Man, I'm tired - think I got a maximum of 6 hours of sleep, and I've had a stomach ache off and on all day. :/ This isn't anything especially new, but it's been oddly persistant. Oh well, probably just the terror! Which is made all the worse cos I ate chicken earlier (I just felt like some, so I bought a chicken quarter from Waitrose [only 95p!] and, er, ate it before tea *cough*) and chicken always gives me the fear. o.o

... end ramble. Time for a proper cuppa!

Phew! Got back about 4.30 to NO INTERNET!!! So I napped a little (all the squeeing, it tires you out) while [livejournal.com profile] avatar1983 worked his magic, and now I'm going to attempt to catch up on my friends list. @_@ I had a fantastic time! I squeed over:

- PoT with [livejournal.com profile] yuki_scorpio and [livejournal.com profile] giving_ground
- Saiyuki with [livejournal.com profile] new_kate and [livejournal.com profile] kittyheaven
- GW with [livejournal.com profile] seraphim_grace
- ES21 with Kerry

Now I feel very wobbly - can't concentrate that well, so I'll probably not actually take in anything I read (which is worrying, but no more so than usual x_o) and I have a job on a reception deskb for three days starting tomorrow. ^^' I also got the job on Friday (thanks for all the good wishes, guys! :D), and I start on the 3rd of April, so I'm gonna be busy!

OK. *rolls up sleeves* Skip?=5700 coming up...
diamondlife: (Out of my mind - fox_reed)
*flail* OK, so now the Fear is kicking in. I have a job interview tomorrow at 10am, and it's probably going to be very awkward and scary and bad, even though it's just for a freakin' call centre! >.<' (I do, however, seem to have a job lined up for three days next week - which is handy, as I'm away Monday and Friday, and they only want someone Tuesday Wednesday Thursday. It's covering a reception desk, but that's OK for three days!)

But then, after this interview (which will probably last about an hour) I have to drive back to Sheff, pick up my stuff (which will weigh an imperial tonne, and will be crammed into at least two bags), get to the station somehow (possibly by crawling - otherwise, the tram), then off to Llandudno.

Then, as soon as I get there, I'll be reduced to a quivering wreck as I'm probably going to be the last there, and will have to walk into a building full of people I've never met before. I hate the etiquette of going into places! I really, really do! Unless they have a desk clearly labelled "Reception", I'm always completely lost and terrified! *runs round in circles* I'm *so* excited about the weekend, but that's going to prey on my mind until I get there! {/loser] I'm also desperately trying to stop myself feeling so excited, because that, to my mind, just screams "JINX!!!" Yes, I have some issues. ^^;;)

Aaaanyway. I better get some sleep tonight, cos I've got to set off before 9... x_o
